I don't know about you guys, but I am sooo excited for summertime! ☼ Let's be honest, I live in the Midwest, but I am a total beach girl. My family usually goes to the beach every year for vacation, and that's how I know a thing or two about surfing. Now you know something else about me! Anyway, I browsed through Alana's Instagram pics, and came up with the most random idea ever. An epic summer 2014 bucket list: Alana Blanchard edition! Really random, right? But I thought it would be cool to create a bucket list based off of some things that Alana does in her daily life that may not seem as common for some people. It's 20 things to do before the end of summer. It can be a day-by-day, every day, for 20 days bucket list, or you can sort of sprinkle the list throughout your entire summer. Every item features a new "challenge," which you'll understand once you begin reading. Before we get started, I just wanted to say that if you have a GoPro, pay special attention the "hashtags" in front of a few items on the bucket list. Without further ado, let's get started!
In no particular order...
1. Try something new: Learn to surf.
2. Do something a little dangerous, but fun: Go night surfing. #GoProWorthy
3. Conquer your fears: Enter a shark cage or go swimming with sharks. #GoProWorthy
4. Buy something new: Purchase your favorite swimsuit from Alana's Rip Curl My Bikini collection just in time for summer.
5. Alter your everyday hair to fit the season: Achieve Alana's amazing beach hair.
6. Make new friends: Enter a surfing competition.
7. Do something fun: Have your own Rip Curl inspired swimsuit photoshoot, modeling all your favorite pieces.
8. Be peaceful and relaxed: Try yoga.
9. Connect with nature: Go canoeing.
10. Get some major sun: Score a killer, surfer girl tan!
11. Be a little...daring: Wear your swimsuit bottoms like Alana—hehe.
12. Save the memories: Take tons of pictures!!
13. Take a jumping pic! (Yep, that's the challenge!)
14. Get an adrenaline rush: Go cliff-jumping. (Make sure it's a safe place to do it, though!) #GoProWorthy
15. Go sight-seeing...in the ocean: Go snorkeling! #GoProWorthy
16. Avoid the media: Stay off of your phone and get outside this summer!
17. Give something up: Try your hardest to not drink soda for the entire summer, or only once or twice a month.
18. Get healthy: Exercise, workout every night, and do everything you can in your power to get that booty in shape, girl!
19. Try juicing: Check out some of Bethany Hamilton's recipes for juicing here.
20. Reach a goal: Move up to a shortboard in surfing!
